Refund & Return Policy — Medici Books

This policy applies to all orders placed online with Medici Books and is written in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. Return Window

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

You have 28 days from the day you receive your order to return any eligible item for a full refund.

2. Cost of Returns (UK & International Orders)

United Kingdom

Return Shipping Fee: £0
We offer free returns for eligible UK orders when using our official InPost Locker return service.

Restocking Fees: £0
We do not charge any restocking fees for returned items.

International Orders (including United States and Ireland)

Customers outside the United Kingdom are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

Please contact us before returning any item so we can provide the correct return instructions

3. Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for a refund, items should be returned:

  • In a resaleable condition
  • Free from damage beyond what is necessary to inspect the item
  • With original packaging where possible

You may inspect a book as you would in a physical bookshop. Excessive handling that reduces the item's value may result in an appropriate deduction from your refund.

4. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us within 30 days of receipt.

In these cases:

  • Return shipping will be covered by Medici Books
  • You may be entitled to a replacement, repair, or full refund
  • Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected

5. Items Exempt from Returns

The right to return does not apply to:

  • Personalised or custom-made items
  • Sealed audio, video, or software products that have been unsealed after delivery

6. How to Start a Free Return (UK Orders Only)

We offer free returns via InPost Lockers for eligible UK orders.

To start a return:

  • Email us at medicibooks.mail@gmail.com with your order number and details
  • We will provide a free InPost return label or QR code
  • Package the item securely
  • Drop it off at your local InPost Locker

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days of receipt or proof of return.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Where applicable, refunds will include the cost of standard UK delivery paid at the time of ordering.
