REFUND & RETURN POLICY

This policy applies to all orders placed online with Medici Books and is written in accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.


1. RETURN WINDOW

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

• STANDARD RETURN WINDOW: You have 30 DAYS from the day you receive your order to return any eligible item for a full refund.
• EU & IRELAND STATUTORY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: In accordance with EU consumer law, customers residing in Ireland and the European Union have a statutory right to cancel and withdraw from their order for any reason within 14 DAYS of delivery. Our 30-day policy fully encompasses and extends this right.


2. COST OF RETURNS & RESTOCKING FEES

We believe in transparent pricing. We charge NO RESTOCKING FEES across all global destinations.

• UNITED KINGDOM: FREE return shipping when using our official InPost Locker return service.
• UNITED STATES: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Tracked Local Carrier (e.g., USPS). NO restocking fees.
• IRELAND (REPUBLIC OF): Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Tracked Local Carrier (e.g., An Post). NO restocking fees.
• CANADA: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Tracked Local Carrier (e.g., Canada Post). NO restocking fees.
• EUROPE (GREEN ZONE): Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Tracked Local Carrier (e.g., DHL / Local Post). NO restocking fees.
• AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Tracked Local Carrier (e.g., Aus Post / NZ Post). NO restocking fees.

NOTE ON RETURN COSTS: Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

NOTE ON EUROPEAN GREEN ZONE: Our European Green Zone includes: Åland Islands, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Svalbard & Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine.


3. CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS

To be eligible for a refund, items should be returned:

• In a resaleable, clean condition.
• Free from damage beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.
• With original packaging where possible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You may inspect a book as you would in a physical bookshop. Excessive handling that visibly reduces the item's value may result in an appropriate deduction from your final refund.


4. FAULTY, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us within 30 DAYS of receipt.

• COST COVERAGE: In these cases, return shipping will be covered or pre-paid by Medici Books.
• RESOLUTION: You may be entitled to a replacement copy, an exchange, or a full refund. Your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain entirely unaffected.


5. ITEMS EXEMPT FROM RETURNS

The right to return does not apply to:

• Personalised, custom-bound, or custom-made items.
• Sealed audio, video, or software products that have been unsealed by the buyer after delivery.


6. HOW TO START A RETURN

• UNITED KINGDOM: Email us at medicibooks.mail@gmail.com for a free InPost return label or a digital QR code.
• INTERNATIONAL (US, CANADA, IRELAND, EUROPE, AUSTRALIA, NZ): Email us at medicibooks.mail@gmail.com with your order number. We will provide you with the correct return authorisation code and our private return mailing address in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Please securely package your item and mail it via your local postal service using a tracked option.


7. REFUNDS & PROCESSING TIMES

• TIMELINE: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 DAYS of receipt or upon receipt of official proof of return tracking.
• PAYMENT METHOD: Refunds will be issued automatically to the original payment method used for the purchase.
• DELIVERY REFUND: Where an entire order is returned, refunds will include the cost of standard outbound delivery paid at the time of ordering (applicable to UK and EU/Ireland statutory windows).
