Goêtic Atavisms is an uncompromising and challenging exploration of applied goêteia, written as a living exchange between two practitioners with distinct voices and approaches.

Produced in a tête-bêche format, the book can be read from either side: one half authored by Frater Acher, the other by Craig Slee, meeting in the centre with a preface by Frater U∴D∴.

Across twelve chapters rich in historical insight and practical experimentation, the authors invite the reader to reanimate goêtic practice within their own lived experience. The work engages with sources as diverse as Zosimos of Panopolis, Germanic and Old Iranian folklore, Faust and the Earth Spirit, the magical oeuvre of Austin Osman Spare, and modern expressions of corporeality including tattoo culture, sexuality, and bodily disability.
