Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis – The Little Key of Solomon Edited by Gemma Gary
Description
This Troy edition of The Little Key of Solomon, more widely known as The Lesser Key of Solomon, presents all five books of the classic seventeenth-century grimoire tradition, drawn from earlier manuscript sources.
The five books included are:
- Ars Goetia – detailing the seventy-two demons, their seals, and methods of conjuration
- Ars Theurgia-Goetia – concerning the thirty-one aerial spirits and their ministers
- Ars Paulina – for working with the angels of the hours and the zodiac
- Ars Almadel – instructions for constructing and using the wax altar for spirit communication
- Ars Notoria – prayers and orations for divine knowledge and illumination in the arts and sciences
To compile this edition, Gemma Gary has drawn upon The Little Key of Rabbi Solomon (1879) published by Robert Thomas Cross (‘Raphael’), the British Library manuscript Sloane 3825, and material from A. E. Waite’s The Book of Black Magic and of Pacts (1898).
The book is illustrated throughout with traditional diagrams, signs, and sigils derived from historical sources, alongside artwork created specifically for this edition.
